A number of vehicles have been damaged again by the bandh supporters of Maring Students Union in Chandel district today.
The MSU chief said that Chandel Naga Peoples Organisation (CNPO) and the agitating students' body will hold a meeting on Friday morning over the issue.
Meanwhile, expressing its concern over the ongoing indefinite bandh called by Maring Students Union (MSU) in Chandel district over the alleged unfair conduct of the recent teachers recruitment examinations for the Autonomous District Council (ADC), the Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Chandel unit has said that considering the Christmas season, the agitating organisation and the concerned government authority should resolve the impasse at the earliest.
KSO-Chandel president J N Baite said that the ongoing agitation has given immense disturbances in preparing for the coming Christmas and appealed both the agitating students body and the government to sort out the problem at the earliest so that normal Christmas can be celebrated.
The Maring Students Union has been resorting to indefinite agitation since December 15 midnight alleging that the recruitment examinations of the teachers in Chandel district were unfair.
The MSU demands the re-holding of the examinations.
