Imphal, December 17 2009:
Opium War first produced as an audio play by AMADA as a part of its anti-drug campaign was reproduced as a Shumang Leela and its premiere show was staged today at BOAT.
Premiere show of the play based on China's historic opium war was staged after it was released in a formal function at about 1 pm.
|
The organisers of the premiere show had a hard time as the audience flocking to watch the play was beyond the capacity of BOAT.
They could tackle the problem of the crowd only after they announced there would be two shows of the play.
The formal release function was attended by AMADA president M Padamini Leima, titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba and IMC Chairperson M Ranisana and MHRC Member Ng Nongyai as presidium members.
Sanajaoba released the play by unveiling a poster of the play.
The play was written by Jiten Ningthouja, directed by Birjit Ngangomba and produced by AMADA.
