While stating that Manipur is in peace due to the CM N Biren-led BJP government, Agriculture Minister Th Biswajit has remarked that the government's biggest success till date has been its ability to unite the people of the state and help them cooperate with other.

Modi-led government at the centre, BJP Imphal East District organised a district level rally on Sampark Se Samarthan at Porompat Thawanthaba community hall on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event, minister Biswajit credited PM Narendra Modi for the party winning absolute majority in the recent polls in the state, and also the party workers, whose tireless efforts have made it impossible for other political parties to subdue BJP.
He then said that PM Modi has been able to do many things which Congress could not, including introduction of various welfare schemes and giving emphasis on check and balance mechanism so aS to bring about equal balance of power among all states of the country.
He observed that after the removal of 'divide and rule' policy, different communities are now more united than ever.
Even the Ram Mandir issue was resolved rather amicably, Biswajit opined and said that Imphal East district had been a sub-par district but now it has two ministers besides the CM.
It does not mean additional focus on the district but that development is in the horizon for Imphal East, he remarked.
Stating that 'Trust begets love and unity', the minister urged people to continue trusting the government, while further urging all concerned for ensuring delivery of various government schemes to the deserving beneficiaries.
Biswajit then said that BJP will continue to govern the state for the next 30 years and thus, appealed to all to help realise the PM's dreams.
Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, who attended as guest of honour, said that BJP is different from other parties, for it is a 'party with a difference' .
The party does not seek power but want to work with the people.
Its leaders are quite capable and as such, the party is able to govern the state and country effectively, he maintained.
Mentioning about the launch of the 100-day plan by CM Biren on Monday and the laying of foundation stones for various projects; the MP informed that a 1-year plan will soon be announced as well.
Leishemba then remarked that the government is strictly taking up the 'War on Drugs' mission, while expressing belief that around 40 percent of young drug users could be saved if rehabilitation centres were to be opened in every district.
Presided over by BJP Imphal East district president P December, the programme was also attended by MLA Kh Ibomcha; BJP Manipur Pradesh VP N Nimbus; and BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary P Premananda among others.
