During a brief interaction with reporters at Lamphel Court complex, JCILPS Student's Wing Convenor M Angamba said that JCILPS and its Student Wing would face all the challenges which come on the way.
He added that the committee does not have any ill-will against any community.
Arrest of innocent people and detaining them under fabricated charges are clear indications of lawlessness, he claimed.
During their appearance in the Court, all the JCILPS members denied the allegations/charges levelled against them.
On the other hand demanding termination of Imphal West Additional SP Y Victoria (Traffic) from her service, unconditional release of 12 arrested JCILPS members and implementation of ILPS in the State, a large number of womenfolk and students staged a protest demonstration at Khwairamband market today.
The demonstration was initiated by members of JCILPS Student's Wing and JCILPS Women's Wing at around 2 pm at Shamu Makhong.
As they were prevented by the police from marching towards the Chief Minister's bungalow, they went to Cheirap Court complex assuming that the 12 arrested volunteers of JCILPS would be produced in the Court.
After they got inside the Court complex, the womenfolk closed the gate preventing entry of water canon vehicle into the complex.
Later, the protest dispersed as the demonstrators came to know that the arrested JCILPS members had been produced in a Court at Lamphelpat.
Speaking to reporters, JCILPS Women's Wing Convenor L Nganbi strongly condemned Victoria's action on the student volunteers of JCILPS and ransacking of JCILPS office yesterday.
Saying that JCILPS office is located in Imphal East and Victoria is an Additional SP of Imphal West, Nganbi flayed the lady police officer for breaching her area of operational jurisdiction.
She also demanded termination of Victoria from her service, unconditional release of student wing volunteers and implementation of ILPS.
