Imphal, September 09 2014:
The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) Chandel (Anal Naga Students' Union) expressed concern regarding the non release of TDPS rice in Chandel District for this month, according to statement issued by its president.
The statement said that the CAF&PD department had already issued a clarification of the availability of rice for 55 days.
similar clarification was also notified by the FCI Deputy Manager (RO) Imphal, the statement added.
Despite the clarification, the State Government has not released the allocated share of TDPS rice for the month of September for 42 Chandel Assembly Constituency and 42 Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency on the pretext of UNC's ban on vehicular movement in Naga inhabited areas, the statement asserted.
The Union urged the State Government to release the allocated TDPS rice for Chandel district at the earliest.
