Imphal, September 01 2012:
A strong suspicion has arose if vacant plots registered in the name of PDA at Langol Games Village have been allotted to some private individuals.
This was detected while searching vacant plots for hand over to London Olympic bronze medallist MC Mary Kom as promised by the State Government.
A reliable source informed that Government officials were searching for vacant plots which were left untouched after quarters and roads were built for the 1999 National Games hosted by Manipur.
The vacant plots available at Games Village Zone III were registered in the name of PDA .
There are two plots which are 200m x 9.144 m and 150mx 9.144 m large.
It is suspected that these plots have been allotted to around 30 people in pieces in 2000 .
Some people have even started building houses on these plots which originally belong to the PDA.
A top official of Revenue Department said that investigation is going into alleged land allotment.
