TPR crosses 5 pc again, seven infected

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to linger, the state has yet again reported daily test positivity rate of over 5 per cent on Saturday with government bulletins confirming seven new positive cases out of 131 samples tested in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 5.3 per cent.
After a gap of over two months, the state had crossed 5 per cent TPR on October 20 .
The seven fresh cases (4 males & 3 females) are residents of Imphal East (4), Imphal West (1) and Ukhrul (2) districts.
As no recovery was reported on Saturday, the number of active cases rose to 19, out of which 10 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,883 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 489 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 16,47,264, out of which 13,33,221 had received the second dose and 2,73,659 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49837), Imphal East (32059), Thoubal (10296), Churachandpur (11291), Kangpokpi (3188), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9984), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3370), Kakching (6979), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1214), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1057), and Pherzawl (477) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (17), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
