Appeal for release of fund

Imphal, July 26 2015:
All Manipur United Disabled Organisation has claimed that the financial assistance and employment allowance 2013-14, marriage incentive and grant in aid for the year 2014/15 given by NGO for the disabled have not been released by the social welfare minister due to the ongoing unrest in the State demanding implementation of inner line permit system.
The organisation also reminded that the promise given by A K Mirabai on June 17 to disburse the funds within fifteen days was not fulfilled due to the disturbance.
In a press meet held at the office of the organisation at Yaiskul Police Lane, Angom Momo, general secretary of AMUDO,said that even though the social welfare minister had settled the matter on June 17, she was unable to fulfil her commitment due to the prevailing law and order situation in the State.
Momo also informed that the unemployment allowance 2013 � 14, financial assistance, marriage incentive and grant in aid fund allocated to NGO run by disabled are expected to be released soon and the organisation thanked the Chief Minister, the Social Welfare Minister and the director of Social Welfare.
Momo also appealed to the officials to release the fund on time to avoid any misunderstanding.
