Barak Bridge banks; goods vehicles stopped

Jiribam, July 26 2015:
Vehicles were stopped from crossing through the Barak Bridge after a goods truck carrying more than 40 tons of power grids items had left the bridge tilted on one side on Sunday morning at around 12 noon.
Only the passenger vehicles were allowed to cross at the old Barak Bridge, said 765 BRTF Commandant Lt.Col JS .

Authorities had earlier warned not to load more than 24 tons while travelling along the National Highway No.37.This highway passes through the Barak Bridge.
It will take nearly a month to repair the bridge.
During this period all these good trucks will not be allowed to cross the wobbly bridge.
