Imphal, April 15 2022:
The armed United People's Revolutionary Front of Manipur (UPRFM) reportedly celebrated its 4th Raising Day on Friday at its general headquarters, divisional and sectoral areas.
According to a statement issued by its information & publicity secretary Rolin alias Thoupangba Meitei, the celebration function held at general headquarters was attended by chairman T Bhudhi alias Tamn-ganba and general secretary M Radha alias Luchingba as chief guest and president respectively.
The celebration began with unfurling of party flag and revolutionary song sung by party cadres.
During the celebration, chairman Tamnganba spoke about the role and responsibility of party cadres in carrying forward the revolutionary movement to restore the sovereign status of Kangleipak (Manipur) while understanding the changing global geopolitical scenario.
He also said that India has been continuing an unseen genocide to uproot indigenous people of Kangleipak and convert the entire WESEA region for mainland Indians ever since the annexation of Kangleipak on October 15, 1949 .
After snatching freedom of Kangleipak people, India completely controlled economy and administration of the land and then allows Hindu Aryan people to settle in Kangleipak and WESEA region through enactment of various Acts/Laws including Citizen Amendment Act thereby en couraging demographic influx to completely engulf indigenous people of the region.
Apart from this, the present government led by right wing party is pushing its Hindutva ideology and intensifying the 'One Nation, One Culture, One Language' agenda to completely uproot culture, tradition and identity of smaller indigenous people of the region.
In order to achieve this goal, steps are being initiated to make Hindi compulsory till class X in WESEA region.
This indeed is a strategy to turn the entire India for mainland Indians who speak Hindi and follow Hindu religion only, the chairman said and stressed the need for carrying forward the revolutionary movement till reaching the goal.
The Raising Day celebration was also held at outfit's 1st Divisional & 2nd Divisional and Sectoral areas with the participation of vice chairman, organisation secretary and unit commanders along with cadres, the statement conveyed.
