No new Covid case after 79 days

Imphal, September 10 2022:
After a gap of 79 days, the state reported zero new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday.
In the last 24 hours, 187 samples were tested and all came back negative.
The last time the state reported zero case was on June 24 .
After eight patients recovered on Saturday, the number of active cases dipped to 27 out of which 18 are in home isolation.
As on Saturday, the death toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,755 individuals including 5,021 CAPF personnel.
There are 35 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 99 D-type and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2920 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,37,015, out of which 13,13,409 had received the second dose and 2,53,678 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49800), Imphal East (32023), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11278), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2546), Ukhrul (3364), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
