NCP Secy declares anti-BJP stand

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national secretary Narendra Verma has contended that the common people are facing immense hardships under the BJP government, while declaring that his party will join hands with likeminded parties to defeat BJP.
Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club here on Saturday, Verma said that the state has been facing several hardships and instability in the past few years.
The BJP governments, both at the Centre and in the state, have failed to contain the Covid-19 pandemic and as a result, public are facing its impact.
Prices of petroleum products are rising under the BJP rule with one litre of petrol costing over Rs 100.In order to save the public from the failed governance of BJP, NCP will join hands with likeminded parties to defeat BJP, he reiterated.
While observing that people today want a change in the political scenario as is evident from 11 opposition parties organising protests against the BJP government, he recounted that in Goa and Manipur, BJP violated the Constitution and denied opportunity to form government to the majority party.
As a result, people of the state are suffering.
BJP is now losing its sheen and people are questioning the reason for its decades-long partners Shiv Sena and Akali Dal severing ties with the BJP-led NDA alliance.
Even though the Centre had assured of ex-gratia to the next kin of those who died due to Covid-19, no such ex-gratia has been released to the bereaved families till date.
