Caseload rises, two more infected

Imphal, October 16 2022:
Number of Covid-19 active cases further rose to 16 as government bulletins reported two more new positive cases out of 135 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.5 per cent positivity rate on Sunday.
No recovery was reported on Sunday and the two fresh cases are residents of Kamjong and Kangpokpi districts.
Out of the 16 active cases, 10 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,842 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 153 Vaccine doses Were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,45,861, out of which 13,30,213 had received the second doses and 2,70,8321 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49827), Imphal East (32044), Thoubal (10295), Churachandpur (11288), Kangpokpi (3186), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9980), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3368), Kakching (6979), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1213), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1054), and Pherzawl (477).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (17), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
