Camp held, solar lights distributed

A veterinary health awareness camp was organised by 21 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) in collaboration with ICAR (Indian Council for Agricultural Research) and KVK (Krishi Vigyan Kendra), Chandel on 06 March 2014.On coming to know the unnatural deaths of pigs, cows, and domestic animals in Sajik Tampak and surrounding areas, 21 Assam Rifles took the initiative to organise an awareness programme for the local farmers who were clueless about these deaths of domestic animals.
Dr Ameeta and her team of four doctors had an interactive session with local farmers and addressed their questions.
Also symptoms of the disease were explained and prophylactic medicines were distributed.
In another endeavour, 30 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) distributed Solar Street Lights in Happy Land Village, Dist- Senapati as part of Op Sadbhavana Programme on 08 March 2014.Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 30 Assam Rifles lauded the support of villagers to the Assam Rifles and promised to help them in the future too.
