Stage Set For Rangdajied To Leap Up The League Ladder

Imphal, March 08, 2014:
The stage has been set and it's time for Rangdajied United to capitalise on it.
The Blues are at the bottom of the table with 15 points from 17 games.
And with Churchill Brothers (15 points) losing to Bengaluru FC and Mohammedan Sporting (17 points) drawing with Mohun Bagan on Saturday, the Shillong side have golden opportunity to move away from the relegation zone.
And this is exactly what Herring Shangpliang and Co.
would be looking to do when they host United SC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday evening.
The match is slated for a 5PM kick-off.
Having found a new leash of life and confidence with the introduction of the new coach and lethal striker, Ranti Martins, Rangdajied were on the rampage in their last match against league leaders, Bengaluru FC.
And much to everyone's astonishment, Rangdajied registered a 3-2 victory to redeem themselves.
And for the match tomorrow, boys are beaming with confidence and they are all geared up to register their first back-to-back win in the competition.
Adding more value to the side will be the availability of all the four foreign recruits.
Ranti will be up and facing his former side while Yohei Iwasaki will be back in the fold to display his all round, tireless game.
Kim Song, who have started brightly for the team will look to find the back of the net again while Lamine Tamba is ready to act like a rock in the defence.
The starting XI is likely to remain same as the last game though Yohei will be accommodated at the expense of either Restomwell or Munmum.
Gouramangi and Tamba will man the centre of the defence.
The midfield will see skipper Eugeneson leading from the front along with Tomba, Kim Song and Steven Dias.
Livewire on the left, David Ngaihte might probably have to wait on the bench.
Playing up front may be, Lalnunpuia and Ranti Martins.
However, the coach might also sprang a surprise or two by playing David Ngaihte in the wing and handing Kim Song and Ranti the onus of scoring the goals.
On the other hand, United SC will look to bounce back to winning ways to at least keep their on-field problems at bay though they continue to struggle off-the-field financially.
"We don't expect an easy game," United SC T.D.Subrata Bhattacharya said, noting the ability and class of the former United striker Ranti Martins.
"We've studied their last game in depth.
We're all fit except Lal Kamal and Baldeep, no suspensions, so we'll have a full squad for tomorrow" .
