Imphal, March 08, 2014:
The Election Commission is likely to sanction 40 companies of paramilitary forces for the two-phase Lok Sabha election in Manipur.
Even as the State CEO asked for 75 companies central paramilitary forces for the Lok Sabha election scheduled on April 9 and April 17, the ECI is likely to sanction only 40 companies, informed a well placed source.
Meanwhile booth level officers would hold a special camp in 2662 polling stations across the State tomorrow in order to enrol eligible voters who have not yet been enrolled in the electoral list.
