Caseload drops, four new cases detected

Imphal, September 07 2022:
Number of active cases of Covid-19 came down to 50 on Wednesday as government bulletins reported four new positive cases from three districts out of 275 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, showing a positivity rate of 1.5 per cent.
The four fresh cases (3 males & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West (2), Bishnupur (1) and Pherzawl (1) districts.
Wednesday also reported 8 recoveries, following which, the number of active cases declined to 50 with 34 of them in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Wednesday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,748 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 31 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 446 D type and 123 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2089 vaccine doses administered on Tuesday that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,34,525, out of which 13,09,691 had received the second dose and 2,51,056 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49797), Imphal East (32023), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11277), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9976), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (477) .
