Active cases climb to seven

Imphal, June 23 2022:
The state recorded new Covid-19 positive cases for the last four consecutive days, as government bulletins on Thursday reported one new case out of only 72 samples tested, thus, registering a positivity rate of 1.4 per cent.
It took the number of active cases to 7 .
Mention may be made that one each cases were reported on Monday out of 59 samples tested and on Tuesday out of 53 samples while Wednesday recorded three cases out of 54 samples tested.
The current month has reported 13 new cases out of 1380 samples screened with a monthly positivity rate of 0.94 per cent against 0.55 per cent recorded in May.
The fresh case is a male resident of Imphal East district.
No patient was discharged in the last 24 hours and six out of the seven active cases are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,251 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
So far, the state has recorded 11,463 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 13 new positive cases and no fatality.
A total of 28 D-type and 8 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2422 vaccine doses administered on Tuesday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,87,979, out of which 12,53,013 had received second doses and 1,05,636 had taken precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,232 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,815 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,20,238 tests per million population against the national average of 6,10,992 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
