Top BSF officer reviews operational preparedness

Dr KC Mahali, IPS, Inspector General, Mizoram and Cachar Frontier has made a three day visit to Manipur and Nagaland to review the operational preparedness of BSF Bn deployed in Manipur and Nagaland.
Sh Anand Singh, DIG Sector Manipur , Sh JC Nayak, DIG (Intelligence) Frontier HQ and other senior officers accompanied the IG during the visit, said a statement of SHQ BSF CI (OPS), Manipur.
Dr KC Mahali took stock of the grenade blast incident of Nov 16 and directed the troops to be more vigilant.
He also called on DGP Manipur and ADGP (Law and Order) of Police HQ and discussed measures to strengthen both the complexes, it added.
The IG talked to officers, SOs, and Jawans at BSF HQ, Koirengei in a Sainik Sammelan and informed them about various welfare schemes by the frontier HQs.
Th IG also visited CI Posts in Bishnupur/Churachandpur districts during his two days visit in Manipur.
BWWA president, Vijaya Mahali visited welfare centre of BSF campus and reviewed various social and welfare activities of families residing in the campus.
Vijaya Mahali also inaugurated a newly constructed residential building along with the IG.
Dr Mahali appreciated the troops for their services.
The IG proceeded to Nagaland to review BSF deployment in the State, today, said the statement.
