Rasleela Observation Day held

Dr Kamal Memorial Association organized the 2nd Rasleela Observation Day 2018 at Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai community hall today.
The function was graced by Principal of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur, Ph Landhoni, advisor of Dr Kamal Memorial Association Sumati Sougrakpam and social worker O Romen, among others as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking on the sideline of the function, Dr Kamal Memorial Association Chairman, K Dhirajit, conveyed that Langthabal is a famous historical place which has close link with the cultures of Manipur.
He reminded that Langthabal was renamed Canchipur during the reign of King Bhagyachandra who founded the capital of Canchipur in 1779 AD .
He then asserted that a 5 feet tall portrait of Dr Kamal will be soon erected at an appropriate location at Langthabal while stating that the late novelist took a pivotal role in developing Langthabal in many ways.
