Ankit Prasad bags gold at C'wealth Karate C'ship

Manipur's Ankit Prasad won a gold medal for India at the Commonwealth Cup and 9th Commonwealth Karate Championship organised by Karate South Africa at Olive Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa since November 29 while Aaradhya finished with a bronze medal.
Ankit Prasad (13 yrs category) won the gold medal in the 55 kg kumite event and scripted history by becoming the first person from the soil of Manipur to win a karate gold medal in a championship conducted by Commonwealth Karate Federation.
Ankit Prasad, son of Mewlal Prasad, MES and Sangeeta from Leimakhong Army Camp is a trainee of International Shito Ryu Karate Federation of India, Patsoi Part I and trains under Shihan Mutum Bankim and Sensei Soibam Bideshori.
Aaradhya on the other hand won the bronze medal inthe 7-9 years girls individual kata event.
Aaradhya is the daughter of Col Vivek Bindra and Simta from Leimakhong Army Camp.
