CM hails teachers for success of Govt school students

Elated over pass percentage of government school students in HSLC examination-2022 conducted by Board of Secondary Education Ma nipur reaching 60.46 percent after a gap of 10 years, chief minister N Biren has called for collective effort in ensuring 100 percent pass percentage of government school students in both class X and class XII examinations in future.
The chief minister also lauded and congratulated government school teachers for their efforts in ensuring high pass percentage of government school students in the recently declared BSEM examination.
Speaking as the chief guest at the graduation day ceremony of phase 2 training -cum-valedictory programme of 10 day Induction Training Programme for teachers and headmasters of government schools held at Tamphasana Girls' Higher Secondary School, here on Saturday, the chief minister called upon the teachers to set a target to achieve cent percent pass percentage next year.
He also pledged that the government will honour and award teachers of government schools which secured high pass percentage in HSLC examination.
The government strives to provide quality education to all, he said, adding that School Fagathansi Mission was launched in 2018 with the same objective of improving school education and expressed said that the Mission has been very effective as it evident from admission in government schools recording healthy enrolment rate of 29 percent since its launch.
Around 180 schools have been covered under the mission for better infrastructure and overall improvement, he added.
N Biren the appreciated energy and confidence shown by teachers during the training programme and stressed that the teachers should approach their students with the same zeal as shown today.
Discipline is everything, he said, while explaining that a disciplined teacher will only produce good and disciplined students.
He said that he can see smart, energetic teachers with 'ready to do something' zeal present at the event.
The credit should go to the STAR Education team, education minister, education commissioner, education director and their teams, he added.
Education minister Th Basanta, who also attended the event, said chief minister Biren has been leading from the front by encouraging all in bringing a sea change in the state's education sector.
He further said that education is the foundation of any society and every advanced society developed due to their education system and appealed to teachers who took part in the training to inspire their students and fellow teachers.
The minister also emphasised said that top priority should be the students and how to make students improve their performances.
The event was also attended by Saikot MLA Paolienlal Haokip, education commissioner H Gyan Prakash, director of education (S) L Nandakumar Singh, NewGlob Policy and Partnerships vice president Sujatha Muthayya among others.
