JNIMS gets DCI nod for dental college

Imphal, July 16 2022:
The dental college of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) has received the approval from Dental Council of India (DCI).
According to a notification issued by the central government on July 12, JNIMS Dental College under Manipur University has been granted approval to offer Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course with 50 seats intake capacity.
With the approval, graduated BDS students of the college can now appear in NEET examination.
BDS pass out students from any dental colleges of the country can undergo internship in the institution and students from the college can practice anywhere in the country.
Meanwhile, the dental college has expressed gratitude to chief minister N Biren, who is also the president of JNIMS Society, health minister, additional chief secretary (health), secretary to CM, JNIMS director, college principal and faculty for their contribution in getting the DCI approval.
