A new house for Moirangthem Sapana

Former Secretary of DESAM, Th Satyam has offered to construct a house for Moirangthem Sapana, who, without the support of her parents, has been bringing up her siblings single handedly and managed to clear matriculation this year.
Moirangthem Sapana, who hails from Lamlongei Makha Leikai was felicitated for her praiseworthy performance in the Matric Exam, 2012 today by Poor Line Students Committee, Lamlongei at Lamlongei community Hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyam said that the hard work and determination of Sapana is praiseworthy.
With the news of Sapana reaching the public through media, a number of individuals and organizations have come forward to help her in her further studies.
However, none have come up to help built a house for Sapana and her family members who are presently living in a pitiable condition,
Satyam observed.
Considering this need, Satyam said, he has made the offer of constructing a new house for them.
He also promised to help in treatment of her father who has been suffering from mental disorders.
Presided over by local elder N Nandabina, the felicitation function was also attended by MLA Kh Devendra, A Mobi, President of All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) and Khamba Salam, President ISTV.
An amount of Rs 83,000, which has been donated by various philanthropists of the state and other organizations for the sake of Sapana was handed to Poor Line Students Committee, Lamlongei by Khamba Laishram on the occasion.
