Mangibabu exhorts for collective efforts in inspiring students

MLA T Mangibabu today urged people of the state especially to the guardians and social organisations for a collective effort in inspiring students and makes them a good pillar for the future of the state.
Speaking as chief guest in a function at Thanga Chinglak Keithel organised by the SSA Bishnupur-Moirang Block to distribute free uniforms and school bags to students of government schools, Mangibabu said that education is the key to a good society in which there is peace and development.
Taking the importance of education in stock, government is introducing acts like RTE to ensure free and compulsory educations to children under 14 years of age.
The Sarva Shikshya Abhiyan and the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shikshya Abhiyan were introduced in the country to ensure the students compulsory education.
It is a known fact that government schools are lagging behind when compared to private schools in the state.
However, government is taking up various initiatives to boost education system in the government schools to make them able to compete with private schools.
As a result, many government schools are developing tremendously in the state.
Education facilities in the state in past years were in a pitiable condition.
However quality of education was far good as compare with the present trend.
