Takou villagers boycott repoll in Tamenglong
Repolling held under tight security

Tamenglong, June 06 2015 :
The District Election Office, Tamenglong on Saturday conducted the re-polling under tight security at 9 polling stations in Tamenglong district.
However, Takou villagers boycotted at 3/4 Takou polling station, under 3 Khunphung District Council Constituency in Tamei Sub- Division.
A reliable source informed that the boycotted of ADC election came after emergency meeting of the Takou villagers held at the village last night.
The meeting has decided not to cast any vote in the village as the villager fear of conducting free and fair election.
In the other polling stations vote were cast under tight security.
It is recorded that at 3/4 Taipram polling station under 3- Khunphung DCC out of 249 total voters as many as 234 voters (94 percent) were cast peacefully.
In 6/9 Njungkok under 6- Tousem DCC out of 353 total voters as many as 300 vote were cast and it is recorded as 84 percent vote were cast.
At 6/9 Kaimai Kuki under 10- Phaiton DCC out of 581 total voters as many as 419 votes were cast with 72%, at 12/5 Gadai Primary School under 12- Dailong DCC out of 885 total voters as many as 699 votes were cast with 79%, at 13/5 Christian Model English Higher Secondary School under 13- Tamenglong DCC out of 1127 total voters as many as 623 votes were cast with 55 percent, at 16/2 Luangchum- 2 at Ramgailong Primary School under 16 Luangchum (Awangkhul) out of 222 total votes as many as 212 votes were cast with 95 percent, at 19/6 Joujangteng under 19-Dollang DCC out of 252 total votes as many as 230 votes were cast with 91 percent and at 23/4 Kambiron polling station under 23- Nungba DCC out of 588 total voters as many as 430 votes were cast with 73 percent.
The election result will be declared on 10 June 2015.In the meantime due to the imposing of 144 CrPC in the district, normal lives have return in the district headquarter.
