Felicitation function held

Successful candidates of ARECA school in the CBSE Class X exam this year were felicitated today by the school authority in the school premises located at 2nd MR Gate, North AOC.
The school made its debut in the All India Senior Secondary Examination from this year.
A total of 57 students who appeared the exam came out with flying colours.
Encouragement speech and presentation of cultural dance marked the felicitation function.
Top five students in the merit list of the school who brought laurels to the school were presented a laptop each.
Deputy Chief Minister, Gaikhangam graced the function as the chief guest while the principal Khanghemmeiru Gangmei, vice- principal Athokpam Mimi and founder Kunjakeshor Gangmei were seated on the dais.
Speaking at the function, Gaikhangam stressed the importance of education in an individual life.
He said that without proper education there can be no success and without success there can be no development at all.
Quoting Albert Einstein's word 'Success is not a destination, but it is a journey', Gaikhangam said that clearing the class X exam with high marks is just the beginning of many battles in the life of a student.
Stating that competition is very high in today's world, he added that scoring high marks is not enough to claim oneself as an educated person.
To claim to be an educated person, one should have moral and spiritual values, without which education is meaningless, he asserted.
Congratulating the successful students, teachers and other people involved with the school, many such success stories like that of ARECA school and other schools of the State, the prospect of future development is high,
he added.
