Mortal remains flown home

Imphal, June 06 2015 :
Rich floral tributes were paid by the State Government, army and Assam Rifles to the deceased personnel of 6 Dogra Regiment at Tulihal airport before the bodies were flown to their native villages today.
With the body of driver Sepoy JK Kushwaha already sent to his native village yesterday, bodies of the remaining 17 personnel were brought from JNIMS morgue to the airport in the coffins wrapped with Indian tricolour today morning.
Governor Dr Syed Ahmed, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, 3 Corps GOC Lt Col Bipin Rawat, IGAR (South) Maj General SN Srinivas, 57 Mountain Division GOC Maj Gen PN Rao, DGP Manipur Shahid Ahmad, officers and Jawans laid wreath to honour the slain soldiers.
A two minute silence was also observed before the bodies were finally flown to their native villages in a special flight of Indian Airforce.
