Mysterious killing of domesticated animals continues
four ducks at Toubul, one hen at Kakching killed

The mysterious killing of domestic livestocks by unknown predators which started in Churachandpur district one month ago struck again in Bishnupur District for second time at Toubul Awang Mamang Leikai Ward no 2 under Bishnupur PS where four ducks, domesticated by Thokchom Sarat s/o Th Ibobi, were found dead with their stomach ripped wide open and one duck left with brutal wound mark in the early morning today.
Some foot imprints of the suspected predators were found stamped on the ground near the ducks.
On receiving the information, a team led by Deputy Range Officer, Bishnupur Forest Division N Biraj Singh rushed to the site for spot inspection.
N Biraj Singh while urging the villagers not to panic at the situation as the Forest department and Veterinary department are putting all their efforts to find the predators at the earliest, appealed the villagers not to kill the wild animals and birds on mere suspicion.
Meanwhile, the mysterious killing of domesticated animals by unknown predators in different parts of Manipur including Hen, Duck, Piglet and Goat during night reached Kakching where one chicken was found killed out of the 11 chickens domesticated by Mayanglambam Brajamohon (55) s/o (L) M Bormani of Kakching Khunyai Leikai near power house.
The predator made a force entry into the chicken coop and killed one chicken from among the 11 chickens.
It may be recalled that 10 chickens were found dead out of which six were killed with their stomach ripped open with missing intestine in Kakching Paji Leikai in the intervening night of November 26 and 27 while two goats were found killed in the same manner in the intervening night of November 27 and 28 at Tonglan Leikai, Nunggai Kakching Turel Wangma.
