Three UGs, a OGW held

Imphal, May 19 2011:
Two activists of the UTLA were nabbed by troops of 22 Assam Rifle of 57 Mountain Artillery Brigade with a team of police commandos yesterday during an operation at Mongbung village of Jiribam sub-division of Imphal East base on specific information.
Leinseim alias Shemphu, (30) son of Jonthan of Oorangpat village of Yaingangpokpi and Farmington alias Mint Hang (37) son of Hong of Henning village of Churachandpur were apprehend with a 9mm pistol loaded with four live rounds.
Both the cadres were involved in giving extortion and threatening calls to railway construction company employees of Jiribam-Tupul railway line.
They were handed over to Jiribam PS.
In another operation 10 DOGRA Regiment of 59 Mountain Brigade apprehended a KNF (P) cadre from Chawangkining village today.
The cadre named SS Lt Kaikhohao Kipgen (26) son of Zangkhalam of Kangpokpi was apprehended at 2 pm.
He joined KNF (P) in 2008 and was allegedly moving to carry out extortion and other illegal activities.
The cadre was handed over to Imphal PS.
In yet another operation 4/8 GR of Red Shield Division apprehended an OGW of KYKL identified as Nabachandra, son of Babu of Bishnupur Ward no.III.The individual was involved in weapon smuggling for the group and used to harbor UGs, the statement of the PIB (DW) said.
