Moreh, October 10 2021:
A Myanmar National who was in Manipur Central Jail in connection with drug trafficking has been handed over to Myanmar authority after completion of his sentence.
Soe Soe (42), s/o U Aung Tin of Tamu ward number 9 was arrested by Custom Preventive Force Moreh in February 2017 along with 5000 WY tablets and had been in Manipur Central Jail.
He had completed the sentence of 4 years and 9 months and was handed over to Myanmar Immigration office at Indo-Myanmar Friendship iron bridge at around 12 pm today.
The handing over was attended by Krishna Anand, senior immigration officer, Akbar Hussain, SI, CID and Myanmar immigration officer Minswe.
