'Wheel of Change' motor rally held at Kpi

Kangpokpi, October 10 2021: A wheel of change motor rally promoting free and fair election was flagged off from Damdei (Taloulong) ground in Kangpokpi district by Dr Lamtinthang Haokip, social activist and Philem Rohan Singh, renowned cyclist on Saturday.

The rally was organised under the initiative of Vision Saitu 2022 on the theme, "Wheel of Change: Free and Fair Election" advocating safeguard of Constitutional Rights and democratic values at the time of election.

The first of its kind rally in 51-Saity (ST) Assembly Constituency of Kangpokpi district covered more than 30 Km from Damdei (Taloulong) to Hengbung village.

The wheel of change rally was a humble initiative of like-minded youths for Free and Fair Election under the banner of Vision Saitu 2022.Village authorities, youth clubs, and various civil society organizations including Motbung village authority, Kangpokpi Town Committee, KSO Sadar Hills, Kuki Women Union, Sadar Hills, Ningthoupham Youth Club and Hengbung accorded warm welcome to the wheel of change rally.

The rally participated by about 200 riders including volunteers of Ngamthang Youth Team culminated at Saparmeina with words of exhortation and encouragement from the host, United Saparmeina Youth Club and Thangkhochon Haokip, MPS, Additional SP (LO) Kangpokpi.

While advocating the rights and freedom of the common people, Vision Saitu 2022 has appealed to all the like-minded citizens of Saitu AC and the entire constituencies of the State to support and encourage the initiative for a healthy society and better Manipur.

Vision Saitu 2022 acknowledged and extended its sincere gratitude to all the participants and well-wishers of Wheel of Change Rally for its grand success and conveyed heartfelt gratitude to KSO Twikun Block, Taloulong VA, Motbung VA, Hengbung VA, Ningthoupham YC, United Saparmeina YC, Kangpokpi Town Committee, KSO Sadar Hills, KWU Sadar Hills for their words of support, assistance and encouragement.

Vision Saitu 2022 also acknowledged the interest, support and participation of Ngamthang Youth Team.

Meanwhile, Ngamthang Youth Team leader Haopu Haokip said that the team participated in the wheel of change rally as they are committed towards a free and fair election while clarifying that Ngamthang Youth Team does not work for one particular party or candidate but for the overall development, growth and change in Saitu AC .
