Imphal, October 10 2021:
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president MLA N Loken Singh has claimed that the party doesn't lose anything when some of its members join other political parties, but added that it is disappointing at the individual level.
Addressing a press conference held at MPCC office at BT road today, N Loken reminded that the sitting MLA of Moirang Constituency belongs to BJP.
Claiming that the BJP is trying to draw Congress candidates who have the potential to win elections, N Loken contended that BJP will not form the next Government.
On Congress politicians leaving the party, the MPCC president said that business men seeking a favourable platform to pursue their activities is natural.
Saying that those who left Congress will regret their decisions in the end, N Loken maintained that the career of those who were lured to the BJP with a certain promise have all been put at stake.
Working president of MPCC, I Hemochandra, on the other hand, stated that the speech of BJP National president JP Nadda did touch any key issue of the State.
He also claimed that the BJP claiming to have deposited Rs 500 in about 10 lakh Manipuris Jan Dhan Yojana is a lie as the amount deposited is only Rs 198.Hemochandra also claimed that the power supply and law and order situation in Manipur improved during the tenure of Congress.
The railway project for Manipur was also approved while there was the Congress Government at the Centre.
Though the Government has given free LPG connection to many households, they are unable to refill their cylinders due to sharp rise in LPG price, it said.
He further said that JP Nadda not mentioning a bit about the Athuan Abonmai case and the ADC Bill is disappointing.
