BVP observes Girl Child Day

Imphal, October 10 2021:
As part of Anaemia Mukt Bharat campaign, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Manipur Prant observed 'International Girl Child Day' on Sunday.
On the first day, the observance under the theme of 'Kanya Pujan-healthy girl for healthy nation' was held at Yangbi Girls' high school, Wabagai wherein 59 girl students were provided facility for haemoglobin test free of cost.
The girl students were also provided sanitary napkins, stationery items and edibles.
BVP national president Dr S Rajendra, national publicity in-charge BB Sharma, former CAU VC professor Premjit BVP Manipur Prant president Dr H Priyosakhi and BVP Wabagai Sakha K Jayenta attended the observance function as presidium members.
During the observance, Manila & Bal Vikas project member Joybi Heigrujam spoke on the topic of 'Healthy girl for a healthy nation' .
As per of the observance which will continue till Monday, nine girl students were handed one sewing machine each.
