NSUC hosts interaction programme

The Naga Students' Union, Chandel (NSUC) and its federating units organised an interaction programme inclusive of district level officers (DLOs) of several departments on July 4 at MACA office, Panchai village, Chandel.
During the programme it was learnt that Lecturers of different Science departments like Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Botany, Biology as well as Arts stream lecturers were transferred from United College, the lone Government college in Chandel with no sign of
replacement till date.
The NSUC appealed to the EE Electricity Department, Chandel to arrange dedicated feeder line from Heikakpokpi to Chandel Hqs for power supply to all important Government offices like DC Office, bank, district hospital, United College, police station and ITI Centre, Komlathabi etc before completion of the installation work of 33/132 KV Chandel.
The student body also questioned the absence of the doctor in-charge of HIV/AIDS, office vehicle, properties, documents etc because of which more than 480 HIV affected people have been suffering a lot.
It also appealed to all DLOs who were present as well as who could not attend the meeting to attend their offices regularly.
It further appealed to Anganwadi related authority to provide best quality rice for children and regular provision of required food supplement.
Another press release issued by NSUC that it has convened an emergency legislative assembly at Daampi village, Chandel Hqs on July 9 at 10 am.
