Bulldozer, JCB set on fire in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, October 22 2011:
Unidentified heavily arms persons set a blaze one bull dozer D50, JCB JS200 on fire and pushed another bull dozer into deep gorge some 8 kms from Tamenglong police station early in the morning today between Dailong Village and Tamenglong HQs.
Police said that heavily armed persons came to a labourers' camp who are engaged in the construction of double lane between Tamenglong and Tamei road around 12:30 am today and forced the labourers to lie down on bed with face covered and fired 4/5 rounds in the air.
The miscreants asked for the drivers and keys of the bulldozers and pushed one into the gorge which they could start and set ablaze the other which they could not start, police said.
Tamenglong police has recovered five empty cases of AK 47 rifles, one missed case of AK 47 rifle and unexploded hand grenade at the site.
Source also said that the miscreants spoke Manipuri language.
Their body structure are small, police said.
The double lane construction works between Tamengnlong and Tamei Sub-Division is in progress, the contractor did not receive any demand and threats from any underground and public.
The miscreant came suddenly and attacked the labourers, police said.
The two bulldozers belonged to one Th Ibochaoba Maibam Boudajit of Imphal and JCV belongs to Ch Ranjit.
