Naga students' body threatens severe agitation

The Inpui Students Union, supporting the demand of the UNC for an alternative arrangement, has made it clear that severe agitations will follow if the demand is denied, and has further stated that a curfew for 1 hour (12 noon to 1 pm) will follow the 72 hours total bandh on October 25, in all the Naga inhabited areas.
Addressing media persons at the office of the Noney Bazar Board, Tamenglong, today, James Inka, President of Inpui Students Union, said that the 1 hour curfew will be imposed in all the Naga inhabited areas as soon as the total bandh imposed by the All Naga Students Association Manipur (ANSAM) along with various other organizations ends.
He further went on to say that the Nagas has a long old history and has always desired to be under one administrative unit.
The Union and State government ought to fulfill the demands of the Nagas for an alternative arrangement.
Chamarei Kamei, Joint Secretary, Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) also addressing the media said that a tripartite talk between the Union government, Manipur government and the UNC is going on.
The government is still not complying with the demands of the UNC still today.
The government act is an act of inviting heavy agitations.
He further went on to say that not an inch of Naga inhabited area can come under Sadar hills district demand.
The Nagas have their own areas of land.
