N'land Youth participating Youth Club Exchange Programme

Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will be hosting a team of youth club leaders from Tuensang District of Nagaland for a 10 day Youth Club Exchange Programme which begun today in Thoubal district, stated a press release of NYK, Thoubal.
The inaugural function of the programme was held today at the RDS (Rural Development Society) training centre, Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Thoubal with T Rameshor, National Teacher Awardee, W Ibohal, DYC /NYK Chandel, K Lokendro, Member, DACYP and Kh Robindro, Project Director, IRCA, Khongjom as Chief Guest, President and Guests of Honour respectively.
In his key note address, Y Laksman, DYC Thoubal highlighted the purpose and objective of the cultural Exchange programme.
"During this programme there will be an interaction with the guests and host youth club leaders for exchange of ideas, share information on development activities, roles played by the youth club members for the welfare and development of the village" he said.
While addressing to the participating youths T Rameshwar reiterated that the youth club exchange programme will bring unity, peace and sense of brotherhood among the people of the two sister States.
W Ibohal Singh, DYC,NYK/ Chandel said that under the programme 251 NYKS will get the opportunity of visiting 250 NYKS of the country in this year.
All the 14 youth leaders from Nagaland will be staying in their respective friends' house for three days and will learn about the culture, food habit, language, songs, dress patterns and the traditional values of the Manipuris.
The participating team will also pay a visit to the historical places of the state and explore the traditional handicrafts of Manipur.
The programme will conclude on December 22, the statement added.
