New website for Directorate of Printing and Stationary launched

With an aim to provide adequate information to the general public and all concern departments, the official website (www.manipurgovtpress.nic.in) of the Directorate of Printing and Stationary, Government of Manipur, was launched by Y Erabot, Minister, Printing and Stationary today.
Speaking on the launching ceremony of the website at the office of the Minister at New Secretariat, Babupara, Minister Y Erabot said that the newly launched website will be of great help to the people giving them easy access to all the information required.
All the documents of the Directorate will be carefully kept in the website.
Stressing the importance of the government press, he informed that all confidential letters and gazettes are printed in this press and that required gradation of the infrastructures of the press is in progress.
He also expressed his gratitude to the officials of the Directorate for the work they have done to modernize the Directorate.
Hare Krishna, Director, Directorate of Printing and Stationary, said that the modernization process of the Directorate started from the year 2002, with the little amount of funds allotted to it.
As a part of the modernization process, the website has been launched today.
Stating that the website has been designed by NIC at a total cost of Rs 96,000, he invited suggestions and feedbacks on the newly launched website.
The function was also attended by officials and staffs of the Directorate of Printing and Stationary and NIC.
It may be mention that the government press was first instituted in 1918 under the supervision of Superintendent.
Later it was upgraded to a full fledged Directorate in 1979 .
