Nagaland youths attend exchange programme

Imphal, December 14 2011:
The Nehru Yuva Kendra of Thoubal district, as part of youth exchange programme, hosted 14 youth leaders from Tuensang, Nagaland.
Organised under the sponsorship of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, the inaugural function of youth exchange programme was held today at the training centre of Rural Development Society, Khongjom.
The inauguration was graced by National teacher awardee T Rameshor Singh, DYC/NYK Chandel W Ibohal, Member DACYP K Lokendro Singh and Project director IRCA Kh Robindro Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
All 14 youth leaders coming from Tuensang would stay in the house of their respective friends for first three days and would learn about the culture, food habit, language, songs, dress patterns and traditional values of Manipuries.
The participating team of the programme would also visit the historical places of the State.
The programme would be concluded on the 22nd of December.
