TAKL urges State Government

Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) urged the authority concerned to look into the implementation of schemes under Sarva Shiksha Aviyan in the hill areas of the State.
A release issued by the students' union said that they have recently organised a surprise education mobilization survey in some parts of the hill areas and found out the differences between the provision of SSA and infrastructure availed.
Revealing the situation, the students' group mentioned that provisions such as text books, school shoes, note books, school bags and stationery items were not entertained by the students of the hill areas covered by the suvery.
It further maintained that the allocation of teachers in most of the schools were also not compatable with the number of children enrolled.
Ukhrul district has recieved midday meal upto September 2011 where Saikul block received the service only upto February 2011 .
TAKL further detected that the Anganwadee centres also not provided nutrion programme which sponsored by State Social Welfare Department.
Taking account of the above conditions, TAKL appealed the authority concerned to look after the matter seriously.
It further appealed the department concerned to list out the supplier as well as the name of the contrators, especially for Senapati and Ukhrul, in the dailies at the earliest.
Necessary mode of agitation would also be taken up if the departments refuse, added the statment.
The union also asked the village sanitation committees to contruct toilets at the earliest and also instructed the chairman and secretary of villages to take responsibility for it.
Further, it is said that the union fully support the Inner line permit system in
the State.
