Sheikh Noorul Hassan distributes pension to differently abled individuals

Imphal, September 25 2021: National People's Party (NPP) will always stand and work for the differently abled individuals.

Sheikh Noorul Hassan, general secretary (organisation), NPP state unit said this while distributing monthly pension to 84 differently abled individuals with polling station number 17 of Kshetrigao AC at a program held at his residence in Top Khongnang Makhong Kshetri Awang Leikai today.

Speaking at the program, he expressed confidence that NPP will either form Government or will be part of the ruling Government in the upcoming election and assured that NPP will push for framing a State policy meant for the differently abled people.

Sheikh Noorul Hassan, who is preparing to contest in the upcoming election, said the Government has many policies and programs intended to help the differently abled section of the society and these assistance fell short of the expectations and requirement of this section of the society.

Assistance to differently abled people of Kshetrigao AC is limited or even close to nill, he added.

To ease their suffering, the financial assistance was being provided to the 84 differently abled people in the first phase.

Rs 1000 to each 84 individuals will be provided each month, he added.

He also assured that a house for each 84 individuals will be built before 2024 .

Skill development training will also be provided to them to provide a steady livelihood and a dedicated school will also be established if he is elected as representative of Kshetrigao AC .
