RPF, MNPF claim attacking AR post

The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) claimed to have attacked a camp of Indian army on Wednesday morning and inflicted casualty on the latter.
According to a joint statement of RPF and Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF), the attack at 4 AR camp near Khongtal village in Chandel district was carried out by cadres of RPF's armed wing PLA and MNPF fighters at about 7am on Wednesday.
Apart from inflicting casualty on AR personnel, the attack caused major damages including fire at barracks, the joint statement said, adding that Indian soldiers deployed in Manipur merely for getting salary to raise their children could not confront PLA and MNPF fighters and ran towards safer Sides to save their lives.
Later, the Indian army personnel remained kneeling down inside the bunkers while revolutionary fighters retreated from the spot safely as it would be inconvenience for them to advance further on the enemy side.
The joint statement signed by RPF's deputy secretary Roben Khuman and MNPF's publicity secretary Thomas Numai further said that peo ple of Manipur would never accept India's expansionism policy borrowed from the British or surrender and the ongoing movement for restoring the lost sovereignty of Manipur will continue till achieving the goal in coordination with the people.
It also said that global countries support freedom movement of people suppressed by bigger nations and the law of the United Nations too supports such movement.
