17 first timers elected to state assembly

Imphal, March 10 2022:
A total of 17 first timers were elected to the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly as the results of the election, which was held in two phases, were declared on Thursday.
The first timers are SS Olish (BJP) from Chandel AC, LM Khaute (JD-U) from Churachandpur AC, J Kumo Sha (independent) from Karong AC, Sapam Nishikant (independent) from Keishamthong AC, Sheikh Noorul Hassan (NPP) from Kshetrigao AC, Sanasam Premchandra (BJP) from Kumbi AC, Khongbantabam Ibomcha (BJP) from Lamlai AC, Thongam Shanti (NPP) from Moirang AC, Thounaojam Basanta (BJP) from Nambol AC, Sagolsem Kebi (BJP) from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC, Dinganglung Gangmei (BJP) from Nungba AC, Irengbam Nalini (NPP) from Oinam AC, Paolienlal Haokip (BJP) from Saikot AC, Kimneo Haokip Hangshing (KPA) from Saikul AC, Chinglunthang (KPA) from Singhat AC, Ram Muivah (NPF) from Ukhrul AC and Khwairakpam Raghumani (BJP) from Uripok assembly constituency.
Eight of them belong to BJP, two to NPP, two to KPA, one each to JD-U & NPF, and two are independent candidates.
