Ukhrul, January 02 2013 :
In the aftermath of series of incidences that affect the State before and after Christmas, Tangkhul Katamnao Long Delhi, (TKLD) has expressed serious concern over Ukhrul district administration and called upon the Tangkhul frontal organisations to set priorities.
In an interaction with Hueiyen Lanpao, TKLD president Leiyaza in his own personal capacity has expressed strong exception against the indifferent attitude maintained by Ukhrul district administration over the series of violence and undesirable incidences that have unfolded in Ukhrul district and affecting Tangkhul community.
He asked why the district administration remained indifferent when two Kongkan villagers were brutally killed by UNLF cadres on December 28 and abstained from attaining the public condolence? .
''If Mr.Sudhan (Ukhrul DC) does not have concern for the people in the district, then he is not fit to head the administration,'' TKLD president asserted.
Leiyaza cited that the recent FFM sponsored strike had caused physical injury to about 30 people and mental harassment to scores from Ukhrul.
''The district administation has, however, remained silent from addressing all these issues.
In this wake, what arrangement or redressal has been made for the mentally and physically harassed passengers?'' he further questioned.
TKLD president further said that it is painfully surprising to see that the frontal Tangkhul bodies have serious lapses in communication thereby affecting their organisational relationship and collective responsibility.
''In the present situation, the Tangkhuls are affected by series of incidents and that called for serious introspection.
It appeared that is missing,'' he lamented.
''In this fluid situation, let external forces do not come into play to spoil the collective responsibility of Tangkhul organisations,'' Leiyaza appealed.
While condemning the Napetpali molestation incident, TKLD president also vent ire against the state government for keeping idle the issue of hit and run case by VIP vehicle in Imphal in which a school headmaster from Ukhrul was killed.
He also takes a dig at the state government for removing the security escort of Ukhrul AC MLA Samuel Risom and putting his life at risk.
''Is it because he is elected with support from United Naga Council? Is the lawmaker not elected and taken oath under the Constitution India?'' .
Further, he asserted that there appear to be serious chasm between the hill and valley that may later called for indispensible separation.
