Mini-marathon marks CRPF's jubilee

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) all over the country, the CRPF Nagaland and Manipur Sector organised a Mini Marathon Race for male and female category under the theme "Run for Unity" today.
The Mini Marathon race was flagged off by the Asian Games Gold medal winner MC Mary Kom from Sagolband Tera Bazar.
Altogether, 1062 persons both male and female participated in the Mini Marathon Race.
Civil public, CRPF personnel, both officers and jawans, of various Battalions stationed in Manipur and Nagaland also took part in the Mini Marathon.
The footrace started from Sagolband Tera Bazar and ended at Langjing Achouba playground after passing through the Imphal-Jiribam highway.
Vimal Kumar Bisht, DIGP (Manipur& Nagaland Sector) handed over a cash prize of Rs 5000 to the winner, Rs 3000 to the runner up and Rs 2000 to the third position holder each for both male and female category and Rs 1000 each to the 4th to 10th position holders of both categories.
In the male category Amir Khan from Yairipok, W Angangcha of Kakyai and Kh Premjit of Meitram Awang Leikai secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
In female category S Premila of Yairipok, MK Minarasi Devi of Tulihal and Th Malemnganbi of Thoubal came 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
