Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) in a memorandum submitted by its president Titus Kamei to the Minister of Health and Family Welfare has urged him to scrutinize the health care policy undertaken for the people of Tamenglong district.
Stating that people, especially the economically backward, have been deprived of necessary health care benefits due to posting of specialist doctors on rotational basis, the memorandum said that the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur, who is responsible for controlling the management affairs of the State Health Care Services, lacks monitoring mechanisms.
