Seminar on cooperative movement held

Imphal, February 23 2015:
A one-day state level seminar on the topic "Cooperative Movement Can Bring About Unity and National Integrity" was organized by Manipur State Cooperative Union under the sponsorship of National Cooperative Union of India at GM Hall here on Monday.
The inaugural session of the seminar was attended by Principal Secretary (Cooperation) of Manipur K Moses Chalai as Chief Guest and President of Manipur State Cooperative Union L Tompishak as President, while retied Additional Registrar Th Manao and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Thaithuilung Pamei attended as Guests of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary K Moses Chalai said that the State needs to strengthen the cooperative movement like in other Asian countries of Japan and South Korea.
Mobilization and hands-on guidance are very much needed to improve cooperative movement in the State, he noted.
Many resource persons presented papers on varied topics during the technical session.
