Frontal orgs of Senapati District condemn abduction of BIPL Labourers, appeal for safe release

Senapati, March 10 2019:
Frontal organizations of the Senapati District including Naga People's Organization (NPO), Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA) have vehemently condemned the abduction of 3 labourers of the BIPL on the midnight of March 6 that has hampered the developmental process in the region.
It may be mentioned that 3 labourers of BIPL who are engaged in the construction work of NH-2 were kidnapped by 3 unidentified persons alledgedly of NSCN-R from a place between Changoubung and Kangpokpi.
Reiterating that development is for all and not only for few or any individual, the Frontal organizations of the district stated that highway development should be welcomed by all and asked not to create any hindrance in the undertaking of their duties.
The Frontal organizations of the district together with the District Police have reportedly intervened into the case post abduction and later asserted that the captives are not confined in the area of Senapati.
Solomon Arow, President of the Naga people's organization asked the abductors to release the captives without any condition within 2 days of this publication that is before March 14 otherwise they would be compelled to take up their own course of action against any individual or faction if their request are not considered positively.
The District Frontal Organizations further asked all not to repeat such unwanted anti-people activities in future.
