AR organises Free Medical Camp

Chandel Battalion under the aegis of HQ 26 Sector Assam Rifles and HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at "Little Drops Life Orphanage Home", Chandel on 09 March 2019.Medical and Health check up was conducted for all the 64 children and members of the Orphanage Home.
Assam Rifles Medical Officer and medical staff of the Unit Hospital provided free medical examination and necessary medicines to the children.
The caretakers of the "Orphanage Home" expressed their gratitude to Chandel Battalion for this initiative and also appreciated this gesture immensely.
Such relentless effort of the Assam Rifles has increased the bonhomie between security forces and local populace and has resulted in strengthening of relation between locals and the Security Force.
Tulihal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a free Medical and Dental Checkup Camp at Sneha Bhavan Orphange, Sangaiprou on 09 March 2019 .
The initiative was led by Mrs Shubhra Kabthiyal, Regional President, Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA), 9 Sector Assam Rifles wherein she inaugurated the event and commenced the Camp by distributing basic essential needs to the children.
She also appreciated the efforts of the Sneha Bhavan Staff and members in looking after the children to ensure a bright future and assured of all possible assistance for this noble cause.
As part of the free Camp, a routine medical and dental check up alongwith consultation on various diseases was carried out for over 60 students and teachers.
During the camp the attendees were examined provided necessary medication.
The Medical Staff under the Medical Officer of Tulihal Battalion also conducted a sanitary checkup of the entire Orphanage and encouraged the children to keep the surroundings clean and sanitized.
All the attendees expressed profound gratitude to the Unit for undertaking such an initiative and appreciated the continuous efforts and commitment of Assam Rifles in reaching out to the local populace, contributing towards better Society and reaffirming the faith of people in the Assam Rifles.
The event concluded with tea and refreshments for all.
